Sunderland Sunday League: McNulty masterclass sees Redhouse Last Orders home in County Cup cruise

Neil McNulty produced a finishing masterclass as he smashed five goals in Redhouse Last Orders' 8-1 romp at Cockton Hill WMC in the Durham County Sunday Cup.

Callum Waddle, Adam Reynolds and Jason Snowdon finished the scoring against the Bishop Auckland side to see Redhouse sail through to the third preliminary round.

Ryhope New Railway enjoyed a great win as they overturned a 2-0 deficit to convincingly beat Chester Whitehills 4-2.

Kev Sloane was star man for Ryhope, with Patton, Nelson, Jackson and Middlebrook firing the goals to see off the visitors.

Ryhope Top House progressed by beating Hebburn Iona 4-2 on penalties, after an entertaining 4-4 draw.

Austin, Tench and two-goal Paul Ridley found the net to take the game to penalties, with Top House proving the more clinical side in the shoot-out.

Mill View CIU were comfortable 5-2 winners against Eaglescliffe Nifco UK.

Star man Sean Lynch found the net with an audacious effort and had a hand in a few other goals. Lincoln, Marley and two-goal super sub Stephen Conlin also notched.

Star man Keiron Martin fired a hat-trick to see off Murton Colliery as TS Potters ran out easy winners in their first County Cup outing.

RCA Grangetown Florists enjoyed a 6-0 romp against Crawcrook Albion.

Andy Place fired his usual brace but was topped by star man John Turney’s treble. Chris Thompson made it six.

Silksworth Paragon were back to winning ways after their previous horror show, dumping Chilton and Windlestone WMC 4-2.

Kieron Petre and Lewis Lynn bossed the game throughout and got their just desserts, firing a brace each to send Paragon through.

The Cherry Tree’s strike force was in formidable form as they smashed five goals to score a 5-3 win Stockton The Five Alls.

Carl Longstaff finished with a hat-trick and Middlemas struck twice.

The Board Inn came out on top in an all-Sunderland side tie against Wearmouth CW Juniors, but they needed penalties to do so.

Wharton, Carmody and Jordan Dagg scored for Board Inn in the 3-3 draw, with Reece Young (2) and Craig Williams levelling. Wearmouth could only find the net once in the shoot-out, and Board had four great efforts to see them through.

Oddies secured an excellent 3-0 win over Hetton Fox and Hounds.

Davey Snowdon hit his usual goal, Darren Green increased their lead early in the second half and sub Andy Morris volleyed a third.

John Hope-Hindmarsh scored on his debut for Ashbrooke Sports Club, but it wasn’t enough to win the game as the tie had to be settled by penalties.

Star man Jordan Ridley started the scoring for the hosts, but Helford responded each time to level at 2-2.

Spot kicks followed and both teams coolly converted their first five penalties, only for Ashbrooke to go out 6-5 in sudden death.

Jolly Potters saw their cup dreams fade away as they were dumped out by the dreaded spot-kicks, 5-4 after a 3-3 draw with Seaham Marlborough.

Gaz Baker scored twice and Brad O’Keeffe capped a dominant performance with a great solo goal. But Potters never had enough and a single missed penalty saw the visitors through.

Hendon Athletic failed to take advantage of their dominance as they were dumped out 3-1 by Newton Aycliffe Huntsman Goodfellas.

Donaldson struck first for Hendon, finishing a fine move, but mistakes proved costly and the visitors gladly took advantage.

Tom Smith was quoted at the end of the game that “he didn’t want to win it anyway” as his Lansdowne team were beaten 7-3 by a good Easington Lane WMC side.

Glen Hargrave bagged a double and Luke Taylor hit the third for Lansdowne, but it was never enough to threaten the hosts.

Karl Hodgson hit The Dolphin’s slight consolation goal as they were hammered 7-1 by Coxhoe Red Lion. The Dolphin are hopeful they will win it next season!

A late Hartlepool TDSOB goal, in the dying seconds, knocked out Grange Park 4-3.

The Wearsiders rallied after trailing 2-0 early on. Grimes replied twice before Pool scored again, only for Shaun Fisk to equalise, finding the top corner with a great finish.

Jordan Southern hit Park View’s solitary goal as they were no match for Hartlepool Snooker Centre, who won 7-1. Robby Robson starred for Park View.

Matty Mckenzie stood out for TC, but his team were no match for Hartlepool The Globe, who finished easy 5-0 winners.

Wear United had to cancel their open top minibus after their cup run was suddenly halted by clinical Lanchester CC, who finished 7-1 winners.

United fell behind in the opening minutes, but their battling paid off as Scott Stevenson equalised after good work from Musther and Wade.

Their joy was shortlived, though, as Lanchester took the lead again, never looking back as they fired another five past keeper Steve Barnes.

The Park were well and truly battered by an experienced Wrekenton Blue Star side.

It finished 11-0, but Josh Johnstone stood out for the Park.
