Sam Allardyce has had a lot of backing to be named the next England boss - with many pundits convinced he is the right man to replace Roy Hodgson.
Sunderland fans are keen for him to stay on Wearside though and they have gained the surprise support of X-Factor star Wagner - who has pleaded with Big Sam to stay in a bizarre new video.
It may seem an odd choice to try and convince the 61-year-old to remain at the Stadium of Light.
But Brazilian-born Wagner regularly posts videos of himself signing recorded messages based on requests and Sunderland-based Facebook group Love Sunderland approached Wagner to record the video.
The song - which you can listen to in the video above - includes the lyrics: “Sam I love you, please don’t go”.
The X-Factor star launches into the song by saying "Sam, I have a message for you from Love Sunderland and all the SAFC fans around the world."
Will it have much of a sway on Big Sam's decision?
Unlikely but stranger things have happened.
One thing's for sure, Allardyce certainly has the X-Factor.
