As series two of Sunderland ‘Till I Die airs on Netflix on April 1st, the longest-running independent Sunderland AFC podcast is recording a series of special shows.

Contributor Tom Walsh talks through some of the podcasts:

While we may not know the next time we’ll see the Lads at the Stadium of Light again, we’ll get a lovely recap of last season’s trials and tribulations in the new series of Sunderland ‘Till I Die.

In celebration, we’ve taken a deep dive into the unforgettable first series with all your favourite stars such as Pete the taxi driver, Joyce the lovable chef, Chris Coleman and his boast of siring six children, and Martin Bain’s espresso machine.

Do you yearn for the glory days of Roker Park? Those carefree days of the ‘90s, where shorts short and an expertly coiffured Kevin Ball would slice through midfielders, you’ll no doubt love our ‘Meet the Managers’ series by Wise Men Say founders Gareth Barker and Stephen Goldsmith.

Beginning with tales from Denis Smith of guiding the Lads from the third tier to that famous play-off victory at St James’s Park, Stephen and Gareth also speak to Malcom Crosby about leading Sunderland out at an FA Cup final and his exit from the club.

The third in this series sees the lads visit Terry Butcher to discuss Italia ‘90, bloodied bandages and his somewhat mixed spell on Wearside.

Throughout the lockdown we’ll be recording a number of nostalgic podcasts – and what could be more memorable than walloping Newcastle six times?

We also look back at some of our favourite - and not so favourite - away trips in our Cans & Megabus specials.

Sunderland may not be around for a while, but Wise Men Say is dedicated to piercing the boredom for all the football-bereft Mackems out there.

Stay indoors, wash your hands, and join the lads for weekly podcasts.
