Sunderland boss Simon Grayson could be without eight first team players during the break after they were called up for international duty.

The second international break of the season followed the 2-2 draw with Preston North End at the weekend, with Sunderland's first team not in action again until the visit of QPR to the Stadium of Light a week on Saturday.

Those players away from the Academy of Light include Lamine Kone, Didier Ndong, Aiden McGeady, John O'Shea and Bryan Oviedo.

Jonathan Williams and Joel Asoro make up the contingent of first team players away with their national sides, with right-back Adam Matthews on stand-by.
