'We're going to have 12 games in hand...': Sunderland fans express concern following Accrington Stanley postponement

Sunderland have postponed their upcoming League One game with Accrington Stanley – meaning Black Cats fans will need to wait a little while longer to see their team return to action.

The COVID-19 outbreak at the Academy of Light continues to have an impact, with the club citing the ‘health and wellbeing of all effected’ as the reason for its fourth postponement in a row.

And while fans expressed concern over the backlog of fixtures Sunderland are now facing, there is a strong understanding that it simply can’t be helped.
