STEPHANE Sessegnon is getting a fair bit of coverage nationally and it’s always a sign that you’re doing well if Harry Redknapp starts waxing lyrical about you in Press conferences!
It is only to be expected that he’s going to get more attention paid to him when he’s been playing so well.
And probably, like most Sunderland supporters, I find myself torn between being proud that his profile is rising and worried that might mean a club comes in for him with a big offer and he gets sold in the summer.
For me, it is absolutely vital Sunderland hold on to him, especially with Nicklas Bendtner seeming certain to leave Sunderland next month.
Stephane Sessegnon is our X Factor player. He’s the one with that bit of magic, the ability to make things happen, the player more than anyone capable of getting fans out of their seats.
And after a couple of seasons where we’ve lost Darren Bent and look certain to lose Asamoah Gyan, I’d hate to see another fans’ favourite leave the club this summer.
