CRYSTAL Palace are the latest club to be linked with a move for Sunderland striker Connor Wickham.
The Black Cats rejected a couple of offers from West Ham for Wickham last week, with the Hammers subsequently signing French striker Diafra Sakho.
Despite Wickham entering the final 12 months of his Sunderland contract, the club are keen to tie down the 21-year-old to a new deal, with boss Gus Poyet seeing the frontman as a major part of his long-term plans.
But reports today have suggested that managerless Palace are ready to make an £8million move for Wickham.
Palace were linked with Wickham in the January window, but after the departure of boss Tony Pulis, chairman Steve Parish is mooted to be keen to land the England Under-21 frontman.
