FORMER Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson could be offloaded by Liverpool to raise funds for a move to land Celtic’s Victor Wanyama.

Reports today suggest Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is prepared to sacrifice the England Under-21 skipper, despite Henderson making 44 appearances in his second year at Anfield last season.

Rodgers is rumoured to be keen on Wanyama, who had looked set to join Southampton after they agreed a £10m deal with Celtic.

But Henderson has proved himself a survivor at Anfield after rejecting the chance to join Fulham in a swap deal last summer.
