Titus Bramble: Build on Stoke victory

Have your say

TITUS Bramble believes Sunderland’s first win of the season will also be seen as one of the most important of the campaign and he is calling on the team to kick on now, starting with tonight’s game against Norwich City.

The central defender (left) helped the Black Cats keep their first clean sheet of the season at the Stadium of Light as Stoke City were hammered 4-0 in Sunderland’s last outing.

And for Bramble, feeling his way back to 100 per cent fitness again, it was a key victory in the wake of a run of five games without a win which marked the club’s start to the campaign.

“Norwich will be buzzing still after just coming into the Premier League but hopefully we’ll get three points.

“After beating Stoke we are full of confidence – the hardest thing was to get that first win.

“And I think we’ve got a couple of good games now in which to look to push on.

“The performance against Stoke has given everyone a lift and we have to make the most of that.

“Every season you want to improve and after getting to 10th last season, we’ll be looking at ninth or eighth or above that.”
