The Black Cats have had a busy schedule of late and Parkinson could make changes to the side that beat Ipswich Town 1-0 on Saturday ahead of the weekend trip to promotion rivals Oxford United.
The likes of Josh Scowen, Declan John, Antoine Semenyo and Kyle Lafferty are all pushing for a start.
