David Moyes has handed 17-year-old striker Joel Asoro his first start for Sunderland.

The forward made his first team debut in the defeat to Middlesbrough, becoming the youngest ever player to play in the Premier League for the club.

There is no Jermain Defoe in the squad, with Moyes keen to protect him ahead of Southampton away on Saturday.
