Sunderland v Manchester City Jury: Paul Welch

Have your say

HERE it is, the one we’ve all been waiting for!

Cup final fever has taken over in Sunderland over the past few weeks and the excitement and tension is unbelievable. This is the biggest cup game for Sunderland in 22 years and for a lot of people it will be their first proper taste of what a cup final is all about.

We’ve done exceptionally well to get this far and as fans we should be so proud of Gus Poyet and the team for giving us such an exciting cup run.

Everyone knows that this is going to be a tough, tough, game but it’s certainly not out of our reach.

We’ve beaten City once this season and we’ve seen them a lose cup final to underdogs last season – so impossible is nothing!

I trust in Gus to play the team and tactics that he sees best for beating City. For a lot of the Sunderland players, this may be their first or their last time they get to play at Wembley so they just need to go out and give 110 per cent.

I can see the Sunderland Echo on Monday dedicating the whole newspaper to a heroic Sunderland win, with Jack Colback becoming a legend when his only goal of the game brings the cup back to Wearside!

Prediction: Sunderland 1 Man City 0
