Jordan Pickford is in high demand this summer with West Ham United the latest club to be strongly linked with a move for the Sunderland youngster.

Pickford was one of the stars of a dismal campaign which ended in Sunderland's relegation to the Championship.

With the club needing to balance the books ahead of the return to the Championship for the first time in a decade, Washington-born Pickford is likely to be departing Wearside this summer.

Everton are understood to be among the leading contenders to land Pickford but West Ham United are said to be preparing a cash-plus-player offer worth around £25million, with the Hammers prepared to let £6million-rated goalkeeper Adrian go the other way.

Whether the Hammers stopper would be willing to drop down a division remains to be seen, while Sunderland may prefer to hold out for more cash for their biggest asset.

Meanwhile, Sunderland winger Jeremain Lens will leave Wearside this summer with clubs in Holland and Turkey jostling for his signature.

The Dutch winger spent the 2016-17 campaign on loan at Turkish giants Fenerbahce but the chances of him extending his stay there appear to have diminished following Dick Advocaat's departure to take the Holland job for a third time.

Besiktas are still keen but are restricted by finances, with fresh reports in Holland claiming Feyenoord are now leading the race to sign the winger.

He doesn't have a future on Wearside and the club will look to move him on as they aim to balance the books following relegation to the Championship.

And finally, Italian giants AC Milan and Lazio are reported to be weighing up moves for £6million-rated Sunderland striker Fabio Borini.

Borini is expected to leave the Stadium of Light this summer following Sunderland's relegation to the Championship.

And AC Milan and Lazio are the latest clubs to be linked with a summer swoop for the 26-year-old, who scored just two goals in 26 appearances for the Black Cats last season.

Borini, who had a three-month spell out with a thigh injury at the start of the season, is understood to be available for around the £6million mark.

Scottish champions Celtic have been strongly linked in recent weeks and now fresh reports from Italy say AC Milan and Lazio will go head-to-head for his signature.
