The opening round of televised Premier League fixtures will be announced by the end of this week.

Sunderland's high-profile opening two games of the campaign could both be rearranged for live broadcast, with Sam Allardyce's men taking on Manchester City and then Middlesbrough.

The opening day trip to the Etihad is the first match at the helm for new City boss Pep Guardiola, while the first Stadium of Light clash of the season ends a seven-year wait for a Premier League Wear-Tees derby.

Sky and BT are due to confirm their selections for which of the early season games are televised by this weekend.
