@pjennings73pj commented: “Watched it all dont have the downer on the current owners, that some have.”

@Cyprus_63 tweeted: “Although like many thing SAFC it brakes your heart, I loved every minute of it. Unlike the first season, this showed a totally different character of people. From the top to the bottom it was filled with people and players desperate for Sunderland success.”

@OneDavidMason1 posted: “Binge watched it last night and found it less enjoyable than the first series. Maybe because it started out with so much hope and then watching all of the hope wither on the vine was so distressing. Methven as many have mentioned was awful, Donald I feel for.”

@GlenProctor1988 added: “Brilliant series! Think it portrayed Stewart Donald in a good light, but showed although Charlie doesn’t lack idea and passion, he definitely lacks man management and people skills! Don’t think it showed @joshmaja in a great light either, blatantly lied to fans about staying.”

@reddwharf said: “Only seen two episodes and we’re so lucky to have Methven.”

@marksafccowley tweeted: “I think brilliant and Stew and Charlie come off brilliantly. Also shows the clowns in the club and how they didn’t have a clue before they arrived”

@JobieJo66 commented: “Found it very insightful. I agree with some who say SD came across well, but looked out of his depth at times. I warmed to CM as the series progressed, however it was like he was in a docudrama! Still sad & hard to watch. But loved hearing a bit of Lilliput & of course Marty!!”

On Facebook, Harry Douglass said: “Feel sorry for the new owners, club was suffering from absent owner and Bains passing on the cheques to sign and no business strategy, strange how this guy got the job. Still have in the back of my mind they were in for a quick buck.”

Jon Guy commented: “It's now clear stuart and Charlie gambled all on promotion and the longer the season went on the more nervous they got. The absolute garbage about there was nothing but automatic promotion by some margin next year left me feeling so annoyed, given the sheer heartache we all felt after the play offs.”

Tyler Knapp posted: “I think it’s shows people that Donald and Charlie do want whats best for the club. Yes they gambled on been promoted that season, and yes I do think they seen a opportunity to make money but that’s business. But it was just nice knowing they wanted the club to try and get the club back to winning ways and running like a football club should be.”
