Lee Johnson’s side will be high on confidence after their 3-0 win at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, which came via a Charlie Wyke hat-trick.
But with the fixtures continuing to come thick and fast, Johnson may be tempted to shuffle his pack for the visit of the Pilgrims.
And fans have called for two changes to be made as the Black Cats prepare to freshen things up against Ryan Lowe’s side.
So where do they think the changes should be made, who would supporters like to see come in and who could drop out of the side?
Scroll down and click through the pages as we reveal the side supporters have picked to start tonight – after a series of polls on our @sunechosafc Twitter page:
1. Lee Burge
The stopper has been first choice under Lee Johnson and that shows no signs of stopping in the near future. He returned to the fold at AFC Wimbledon an 88.5% of fans want to see him continue between the sticks against Plymouth. Photo: FRANK REID 2019
2. Max Power
Power has impressed since switching to right-back, and with Conor McLaughlin set for surgery he could yet continue in this role moving forward. 57.7% of those who voted believe the skipper should start in the back four again. Photo: FRANK REID 2020
3. Bailey Wright
It's no surprise that 60.5% of fans want to see Wright continue in the backline, given Sunderland have kept clean sheets in their last two outings - and have conceded just once since the turn of the year. Photo: FRANK REID 2020
4. Jordan Willis
Willis was impressive at Wimbledon on Saturday as he nullified the threats of the in-form Joe Pigott - and will likely have to do similar with 13-goal frontman Luke Jepchott this evening. 57.5% of fans have voted for the Coventry man to start again. Photo: Frank Reid
