The Black Cats’ head coach has been given a number of headaches in key areas of the field after some impressive performances in the midweek win over Port Vale, with changes expected ahead of the trip to Plough Lane.
After resting key players in the week, Johnson is expected to restore a number of them to his side in the capital – but some of the fringe men who caught the eye on Tuesday could also feature.
