Sunderland target Yann M’Vila has returned to Russia after missing the start of pre-season training at Rubin Kazan earlier this week.
M’Vila failed to report for duty at Kazan on Monday after visa issues held up the French international’s return to Russia.
However, the 25-year-old is now back with his parent club after team-mate Chris Mavinga - in the same position as M’Vila after his visa was held up following a loan spell at Troyes last season - tweeted a picture of the pair flying to Russia yesterday.
“Leaving for Russia, more precisely Kazan, with my old friend M’Vila,” said Mavinga.
Sunderland hope that M’Vila’s return to Russia will be a brief one though, with the Black Cats and the midfielder himself making no secret that they want to reunite next season after his hugely successful loan spell at the Stadium of Light.
