ROOKIE Sunderland keeper Max Stryjek has joined Boston United on loan - becoming the sixth Black Cats youngster to move to the non-league outfit over the last 18 months.

Stryjek will get his first taste of senior football with the Conference North outfit and could make his debut in this weekend’s clash against Harrogate Town.

Polish keeper Stryjek has featured 11 times for Sunderland Under-21s this season after the 18-year-old was signed by the Black Cats two years ago following a successful trial spell.

He follows fellow young Sunderland keeper Joel Dixon in joining Boston this season, while centre-half Tom McNamee has also had a spell at the Jakeman’s Stadium.
