The former Spurs youngster was dropped from the Portsmouth squad to face Walsall after a warrant was issued for his arrest. Walkes had failed to attend a magistrates court hearing. He eventually attended the following morning, where he was handed a hefty fine.
The former Newcastle United striker was rejected by League One side Oxford United after a trial spell. Manager Karl Robinson praise his attitude, application and time-keeping, but felt he wasn't right for the U's in the short-term. His hunt for a new club continues.
