SUNDERLAND skipper John O’Shea scored a dramatic last-gasp equaliser to earn Republic of Ireland a 1-1 draw against Germany – on his 100th international appearance.
The defender struck deep into injury time to grab a point for the Irish in their European Championships qualifier.
The Group D clash seemed destined to be heading the way of the world champions after Toni Kroos put them ahead in the 71st minute.
But O’Shea struck in the 93rd minute to stab home, having picked up his 100th cap earlier that evening.
