Promising Sunderland youngsters Duncan Watmore and Jordan Pickford have received an England call-up.
Both winger Watmore and goalkeeper Pickford are two of the top prospects coming through Sunderland’s ranks, even though the pair are yet to make their Premier League debuts for the Black Cats.
And now the duo have received England recognition after being included in the Under-20 squad for the Toulon tournament, in France, which gets underway next month.
It is a first international call-up for ex-Altrincham man Watmore, who netted six goals in the final six games of the season for Sunderland Under-21s.
But Pickford - who spent the majority of this season on loan at League One Bradford - has represented his country at every age group from U16s to U20s.
Newcastle wideman Rolando Aarons is also in the 20-man squad.
