Resurgent Victor Anichebe's form was always going to have more than the Premier League sitting up and taking notice.

Having spent five years in the international wilderness, the powerhouse striker is reported to be set for a recall to the Nigeria squad.

Super Eagles technical director, Gernot Rohr, may have his side at the top of their African World Cup qualifying group but he is compiling a list of new players to add ahead of two friendlies next month. Anichebe, surprise, surprise is on it.
