Sunderland midfielder Jan Kirchhoff has been shortlisted for the PFA Fans’ Player of The Month Award.
January signing Kirchhoff has been a huge success for Sunderland since getting up to speed with Premier League football, with the ex-Bayern Munich man becoming a key fixture in the middle of the park.
Kirchhoff’s performances have been recognised after he was among a dozen players nominated to lift the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month prize for April, with voting now open.
Sunderland supporters can back Kirchhoff at skysports.com, with the list of players reduced to a shortlist of three on Thursday before the winner is announced 24 hours later.
One voting fan will win a chance to meet and present the award to their selected Player of the Month.
The other players on the shortlist include Newcastle United’s matchwinner at the weekend, Andros Townsend.
The full list of players is: Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal), Andros Townsend (Newcastle United), Andy Carroll (West Ham United), Christian Eriksen (Tottenham), Daniel Sturridge (Liverpool), David de Gea (Manchester United), Harry Kane (Tottenham), Leonardo Ulloa (Leicester City), N’Golo Kante (Leicester City), Sergio Aguero (Manchester City), Shane Long (Southampton).
