Sunderland midfielder Dylan McGeouch 'weighing up' future on Wearside - with Hibernian and Aberdeen on red alert
Out-of-favour Sunderland midfielder Dylan McGeouch is reported to be ‘weighing up’ his future on Wearside.
McGeouch, who has been missing through injury in recent weeks, has barely featured since Phil Parkinson took charge after Jack Ross was sacked.
McGeouch is now said to be weighing up his future with the Scot heading into the final six months of his Sunderland contract.
Hibernian - managed by Ross - and Aberdeen have long been linked with McGeouch.
The Daily Record report: “The former Celtic and Hibs star’s future at the Stadium of Light remains unclear and Record Sport understands he will review his position if he doesn’t return to action ahead of January when he is free to speak to clubs.”
McGeouch is yet to feature in the league since Parkinson took charge.
The Sunderland boss is under intense pressure after a dreadful start with eight defeats out of 12 in all competitions.
