Sunderland have reportedly made a move for Stoke forward Peter Odemwingie.
The 34-year-old forward has hardly played for two years after suffering a knee ligament injury in August 2014.
But he signed a new deal with the Potters last summer.
The Guardian reports that Sunderland have made an inquiry about taking Odemwingie on loan until the end of the season.
Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce will have several irons in the fire as he tries to find players who can come in and help the fight against relegation.
