Costel Pantilimon has been ruled out of Sunderland’s final game of the season at Chelsea.

Goalkeeper Pantilimon, one of the stand-out performers in Sunderland’s draw at Arsenal in midweek, will sit out this Sunday’s curtain-raiser after over-stretching his knee during the stalemate at the Emirates, with Vito Mannone poised to take the Romanian’s place.

Danny Graham is also an injury doubt for the trip to Stamford Bridge with an ankle problem, while Liam Bridcutt remains on the treatment table.

But Seb Larsson is fit to play, despite struggling in the closing stages of the Arsenal stalemate with a knock to his knee.
