Sunderland have been drawn to meet Manchester United in the semi-finals of the Capital One Cup next month.
The Wearsiders, who knocked Chelsea out in stunning style in extra time on Tuesday night, will be at home in the first leg.
The first leg will be played in the week beginning January 6, with the return two weeks later. West Ham tackle Manchester City in the other semi.
Sunderland are due to host Carlisle in the FA Cup on Sunday, January 5, so they will be looking to play their League Cup semi-final first leg on the Wednesday, though there is a problem looming as fellow semi-finalists West Ham and Manchester United are also in action that Sunday.
Manchester United won through 2-0 at Stoke tonight, in a game marred by a hailstorm which saw the teams taken off the Britannia Stadium pitch, thanks to goals from Ashley Young and Patrice Evra.
The sides have met in the Premier League already this season, with David Moyes’s side securing a 2-1 win.
