As part of our Big SAFC Survey, we asked readers: ‘Was Phil Parkinson right to move Aiden McGeady out of the first team squad?’

A total of 78.7% said yes as results had improved since the turn of the year with Sunderland back in the promotion battle, until a four-game winless run just before the suspension of all football saw them drop out of the play-off places.

Meanwhile, 21.3% of fans said no, it was the wrong call and McGeady remains the best player at the club.
