There can only be one topic to discuss in this week's fan blog: the enforced break scheduled due to the coronavirus.

Both the Premier League and the EFL have confirmed that there would be a break from football until April the 30th at the earliest, due to the coronavirus crisis.

Many fans were left in a predicament after purchasing tickets and travel for Blackpool v Sunderland, only to be told that that game wouldn't be played.

There can be no doubt calling the break was the correct decision, as fan safety comes before the pleasure of football, but, what should we expect now?

Will the break be extended? Will the season be cancelled? All of these questions are up in the air.

If the global pandemic gets worse, I would expect the break to be extended, with the health of supporters being at the forefront of minds of the people making the decisions.

Personally, I believe the season can't be cancelled, as it would be very harsh on the teams at the top of leagues in England, as they have put hard work and money into getting their team to the top of their division, and it would be all for nothing.

Also, I highly doubt that the season will finish on time, and the play-offs for the Championship and Leagues One and Two to be played on the dates scheduled, as we just don't know what is going to happen.

Meanwhile, only time will tell but hopefully we can see Sunderland continue their League One season, sooner rather than later.
