The online tournament was set-up by Leyton Orient's media team after the regular football season was suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Sunderland were being represented by FUTWIZ co-founder Dan who guided the Black Cats to the second round of the 128-team competition.

Yet Wednesday’s match marked a significant step up in quality, as shown by the one-sided scoreline.

After the match, Dan said:” Thanks everyone for their support, people can say what they want but some of these people are paid to play FIFA and I’m just not at that level.

“I gave it a good shot in the first round but I was definitely miles off the level required in this round.

“Thanks again for all the support.”
