"He had a similar injury towards the end of the St Mirren game but in the other one. He missed a couple of days training this week. We’ll have to see how he is over the next couple of days but generally he looks after his body really well these days, he’s learned that over the years and generally heals quite quickly.

"Hopefully it’ll settle down and we’ll have him available [for Charlton] because he’s been influential, even tonight he was good for us.

Lee [Cattermole] is ill so isn’t available. Chris [Maguire] has a knock from training but should be back with us at the start of next week.

"Bryan only came back on Monday, having had a few weeks off after the World Cup, so he’s only had a few days. Even tonight we weren’t going to include him in the squad but obviously we needed to have in there just in case.

"The type of character he is, he’s no problem, he remains in the squad for the time of the being and we’ll see how it progresses."
