SUNDERLAND have announced that season ticket prices will be frozen for the 2015-16 season.
Supporters were given a discounted price for this season during last year’s renewal period, and the same rates will be continued for the next campaign.
Sunderland chief executive Margaret Byrne said: “We recognise how important our supporters are to what we are trying to achieve here at Sunderland.
“We wholeheartedly appreciate the sacrifice they make when they commit to a season card and give their backing to the team week in, week out, and we want to ensure that as many of them as possible can continue to do so, which is why we have frozen our prices.”
The average attendance at the Stadium of Light this season is over 43,000, with Sunderland fans under the age of 16 paying £99 for a season ticket – which works out at less than £5 a game.
Renewal packs will be sent out to supporters in early March, while the cost of seasonal hospitality packages will be frozen at this season’s prices for existing members.
