Sunderland have a 10-day break until their next game with the struggling Black Cats not back in League One action until Boxing Day.
Phil Parkinson’s side were due to play Bury this weekend but they were kicked out of the EFL which leaves a free weekend for the Wearsiders.
On Saturday, Sunderland came from behind to draw 1-1 with Blackpool, dropping to 12th as a result – equalling the club’s lowest every league placing.
