Sunderland AFC transfer news RECAP: Dion Sanderson latest following dramatic shift in promotion odds

The Black Cats were beaten 2-1 at Charlton Athletic last weekend and were then defeated again by Wigan Athletic the following Tuesday.

That leaves Lee Johnson’s side five points outside the automatic promotion places.

Charlie Wyke put the Black Cats ahead at the DW Stadium but two set-piece goals from Will Keane and Callum Lang turned the game on its head.

Sunderland now have six games remaining and must now prepare for this weekend’s trip to Blackpool.

The Black Cats then face Hull City next Tuesday before games against Accrington Stanley, Blackpool (again), Plymouth Argyle and Northampton Town.
