Transfers are dominating the agenda for Sunderland – and their fans – today.
Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce has already started drawing up a list of players the club could sign this summer.
And Sunderland supporters are hoping that there is a major warchest made available by owner Ellis Short.
The Echo revealed today the latest results from our Big SAFC Survey, with the majority of fans demanding that the club spends between £30million and £40million this summer on new players – if not more.
We also revealed which players most fans wanted to see the club offload this summer. Read the results here.
Meanwhile, West Ham striker Diafra Sakho will cost £10million if Allardyce is to be reunited with his former frontman.
However, another forward has today also been linked with a move to Wearside – Frenchman Bafetimbi Gomis.
The 30-year-old slipped down the pecking order at Swansea City at the end of the season, and Allardyce could opt to try and bring him to the Stadium of Light.
One player who doesn’t want a return to Wearside, however, is Emmanuele Giaccherini.
The Italian – named in his country’s squad for Euro 16 – has been on loan at Bologna for a year, and would like to remain there.
He said: “I want and hope to stay in Bologna: it is here that I got back to a certain level.”
