Phil Parkinson's side will be looking to continue their good run of form in League One as they host Rochdale at the Stadium of Light this evening.

Team news insight from Steve Parkin ahead of tonight's match

We've had enough time for us to decide whether players are a bit leggy or if we go with the similar team [to Saturday]. The bench is a good bench and we’ll need all the players between now and the end of the season. That’s massive for me, suspensions are looming, touch wood we don’t get any injuries, we’ve got a good drive in the group to all want to play. There are no injuries to worry about.

Who should Sunderland be wary of tonight?

No new injury concerns for The Black Cats, but one player will definitely miss out

Notts County boss Neal Ardley discusses possible loan interest

"As always in football, these things can get blown up out or proportion, but we are always looking to network.

"You never know, there might be a really good player somewhere who you really want and I am sure Sunderland have a few in their ranks.

"A conversation has happened but it is not something that would lead us to become Sunderland’s B team.

"The discussions was more about were there any players we would run our eye over and see whether they would suit us."

Rochdale boss previews the game

“It’s a brilliant game for us,” said the Dale boss Brian Barry-Murphy.

“We can’t wait to go to their stadium and take them on. Our support away from home has been amazing this season.

“They’ve been patient and understanding about what we’re trying to do, which was typified again today.

“It’s a chance for all of us to go there and – have a go is a cliché – but we definitely will try to have a go.”
