Sunderland linked with Villa midfielder
Sunderland are considering a summer move for Aston Villa youngster Harrison Sohna, according to reports.
The Birmingham Mail claim that the 18-year-old is attracting interest from Wearside ahead of his contract at Villa Park expiring this summer.
Indeed, it is understood that Sohna recently played for the Black Cats’ under-23 side as a trialist with Villa not set to hand him a new deal.
Sunderland could be set for a busy summer of recruitment for their second string after a promising season – which sees Elliott Dickman’s side on the brink of securing a play-off place.

Transfer talk
Sunderland were linked with Hibernian striker Kevin Nisbet back in January, but it’s now being claimed that Brentford have joined the race to land the frontman.
According to The Sun, the Championship club have been keeping tabs on the Scotland international after a stunning first season in the SPL.
Nisbet has netted 17 goals in this term to help Jack Ross’ side climb to third in the table.
‘We want to see fight’ says Northampton boss
Northampton’s caretaker boss Jon Brady says he will be looking for plenty of fight from his players when they travel to the Stadium of Light on Sunday.
The Cobblers have already been relegated from League One but will be hoping to finish on a high.
“It’s really important for us to show as a football club what we are about and we’ve got plenty of fight in us,” Brady told the club’s website.
“Our focus right now is on Sunday but after that it’s all about the club moving forward.
“It’s important we go out and perform to the best of our ability, Sunderland have had a good season and obviously we’ve been relegated but we need to go there and be competitive,.
“It’s really tough as a manager and as a player when relegation happens and it’s my first experience of it but it’s been good for the players to train this week and they have been working hard.”
Wyke and McGeady latest
Lee Johnson expects Charlie Wyke to play some part in Sunderland’s final league game against Northampton on Sunday.
Wyke missed the 3-1 over Plymouth due to a thigh concern, but scans this week showed that there is no major damage.
Aiden McGeady also missed that win due to swelling on the foot, but is also in contention to take a place in the matchday squad.
Johnson will not take any undue risks with the pair ahead of the play-off campaign, but equally feels that both could benefit from some minutes under their belt.
