Joel Lynch could return for Sunderland this evening!
Sunderland could welcome Joel Lynch back into their squad for the visit of Fleetwood Town.
The centre back returned to training at the Academy of Light on Monday, with the club’s medical staff set to continue to monitor his reaction to a rib injury sustained at Portsmouth ahead of the clash with the Cod Army.
“Joel is back in training again today,” said manager Phil Parkinson.
“As long as he's had no reaction with his rib injury, we’ll assess him for tomorrow and with the weekend game in mind as well.”
Well done, Bally!

Joey Barton has paid Sunderland a compliment (no, really...)
Joey Barton says that Sunderland are the 'best side' that Fleetwood Town have faced at Highbury this season - and claims it won't be a disaster if they lose at the Stadium of Light.
“Sunderland are a top side, I think they are the best side we’ve played here," he said.
“We struggled to break them down in both games but it’s a free game for us.
“It sounds mad to say that but we’ve taken 15 points out of 15, and even if we lose at Sunderland it isn’t the end of the world – we’re still right in the mix.
Cash turnstiles in operation this evening
Sunderland have confirmed that cash turnstiles will be in operation for the game with Fleetwood Town tonight.
A club statement said: "Tickets for tonight’s must-see game will be on sale at the Stadium of Light box office until kick off and are priced from £20 for adults and £7 for under-16s.
"Turnstiles 33-36 in the north east corner will also be in operation for fans wishing to pay on the door. All admission here will be charged at £20."
A well-deserving winner!
