After a weekend draw at MK Dons, the Black Cats look to continue their charge up the League One table as they face two of the in-form sides in the division in the next seven days.

Shrewsbury Town are up first on Tuesday before Doncaster Rovers visit the Stadium of Light on Saturday, in two games where Sunderland will have to work hard to take maximum points.

And away from the on-field action, a great deal of focus remains on the takeover of the club by Kyril Louis-Dreyfus. The 23-year-old has agreed a deal with Stewart Donald to purchase the club but has not yet been given EFL approval.
