Norwich are still sweating on the fitness of £8.5million January signing Timm Klose, ahead of Saturday's crunch clash with relegation rivals Sunderland.
Swiss international centre-half Klose has impressed since joining the Canaries, but he was stretchered off with a knee injury in Saturday's defeat at Crystal Palace and left Selhurst Park on crutches.
If Klose misses out, then ex-Newcastle United defender Sebastien Bassong is expected to take the place of the 6ft 4in defender.
Sunderland host Arsenal after the trip to Norwich, and the Gunners could be boosted by the return from long-term injury of England international Jack Wilshere.
Wilshere has not played competitively since June after suffering a broken leg in pre-season, but featured in an Under-21s game against Newcastle last week.
Reports today have indicated that Wilshere is being pencilled in to return for the Gunners in their Stadium of Light clash on Sunday, April 24.
Meanwhile, Sunderland have joined Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle in tracking Oxford United attacking midfielder Kemar Roofe, who has netted 25 goals for the League Two outfit this season.
Sunderland are understood to have watched Roofe on several occasions, but are yet to enter into talks with Oxford for the 23-year-old.
