Sunderland’s pursuit of a new manager is reported to have hit an early stumbling block with David Moyes turning them down.

The Daily Mail have reported the Black Cats had made an approach to the former Manchester United boss, now managing in Spain, but Moyes wasn’t keen on a return to the Premier League with Sunderland.

And with Burnley boss Sean Dyche also distancing himself, as reported by the Echo, Sunderland will have to turn their attentions to other targets.
