Sunderland midfielder Liam Bridcutt has a host of Championship clubs chasing his signature
Leeds United were the frontrunners and had been expecting to tie up a two-month loan deal last week.
But the Yorkshire side now face competition from Championship rivals Cardiff City and Reading.
The 26-year-old is understood to be weighing up his best option.

United remain hopeful of signing the defensive midfielder but no movement is expected today.
Meanwhile, former Sunderland and France defender Anthony Reveillere has retired from football.
The 35-year-old has been without a club since leaving Wearside at the end of last season.
He made 17 appearances for Sunderland after joining on a free transfer in October 2014.
