The preparations for Sunderland’s crunch clash with Leicester City are well under way – with the Black Cats set to be playing in front of almost a full house.
The club revealed today that more than 44,000 tickets have already been sold for Sunday’s televised game against the Premier League leaders.
There will be no cash turnstiles in operation on the day of the game and fans are being encouraged to secure their seat early.
The game has attracted worldwide recognition given the position of both clubs – one fighting against relegation and the other aiming for a sensational title.
Even Prince William has added his thoughts, with the Duke of Cambridge saying he wants the Foxes to go on and win the championship.
Jan Kirchhoff will have a key role to play in the game and he was today revealed as the winner of our poll into who which January signing had the biggest impact.
