Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce will speak to the media today ahead of the Southampton clash at the Stadium of Light.

The Black Cats host Ronald Koeman's side in the Premier League on Saturday and Allardyce will hope to be able to call on at least some of his injured quartet.

John O'Shea, Younes Kaboul, Ola Toivonen and Fabio Borini all missed the 6-2 humbling at Everton on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Allardyce has revealed his blueprint for keeping Sunderland in the top flight.

Allardyce told the Echo: “I haven’t done a points target, in terms of what the total is that we’ll need.

“But I’m in the middle of doing a presentation for the lads on how to get to a safe position in the league and what it’ll take to get there."
