KEVIN Ball’s high-flying Sunderland Under-21s will take on Chelsea at the Stadium of Light on Saturday.

While new head coach Gus Poyet prepares the first team to face Swansea in Wales, the young Black Cats will be playing against the best of the young Blues in a game which kicks off at noon.

Ball’s lads have enjoyed a superb start to the season, with five wins, a draw and a defeat in their first seven matches to sit joint top of the Barclays U21 Premier League, only behind West Ham on goal difference.

Sunderland season card holders can watch the game free of charge on production of their current season card.

Turnstiles 1-8 and 17-24 in the West Stand will be open for supporters from 11am, with general admission £3 (adults) and £1 (over-65s and under-16s).

All seats are unreserved. The stadium car parks will be open for unreserved on-site parking on the day.
