What a strike that is!

Wednesday lead after an excellent strike from Adeniran from the edge of the box which flew right into the top corner.

The move started after Winchester conceded possession and Gregory switched the ball to Palmer on the right.

Winchester managed to get back to head away a couple of crosses before Adeeniran made it 1-0.

That looked like Brown could have been booked for pulling back Hume on the right, yet the referee only awarded a free-kick.

Roberts’ cross picked out Alese at the back post but the defender couldn’t steer his effort on target.

11’ Winchester booked

Wednesday are just starting to apply more pressure now with their wide players getting forward more.

Winchester is booked for a foul on Brown inside the Sunderland half but the free-kick didn’t come to anything.

Bass is called into action after the ball bounced over Alese’s head and allowed Adeniran to send a low cross into the box from the right.

The Sunderland keeper managed to hold the delivery.

6’ Wing-backs start high

Sunderland’s wing-backs Hume and Sonha have started the match in advanced positions inside the Wednesday half.

Neil’s side have pressed high up the pitch in the early exchanges.
