STEPHANE Sessegnon insists Sunderland supporters have helped him settle on Wearside.
The 27-year-old has found the net four times in his last nine games to move to the top of Sunderland’s scoring charts.
That form has not gone unnoticed with both Arsenal and his former club Paris St Germain linked with a move over the weekend, despite the Benin international continuing to stress his happiness for life on Wearside.
Sessegnon says Sunderland’s fans have helped to make him feel at home, although the forward was unaware that a chant had been developed in his name.
“It’s great the support there is at this football club, it has given me great pleasure to keep winning for them,” he said.
“They always come in massive numbers and go crazy with every goal.
“Their enthusiasm for the club is unbelievable. They have played a big part in our success recently.”
