STEPHANE Sessegnon hailed Sunderland’s display against Norwich City as the Black Cats moved up to eighth in the Premier League table.
Sunderland were much-improved from the disjointed display in the FA Cup against Middlesbrough and secured an unassailable 3-0 goal advantage nine minutes into the second half when Daniel Ayala sliced Phil Bardsley’s cross into his own net.
Sessegnon, who notched his sixth of the season to move to the top of Sunderland’s scoring charts, admits it was a near “perfect” display from O’Neill’s side.
“I hope to continue winning and continue scoring,” added the 27-year-old. “It was a good victory because of the way we played and to score three goals as well and not concede one – it was almost the perfect match for us.
“It wasn’t easy, no match in the Premier League is and we knew Norwich have done well this season. But we played well and scored some good goals.
“We got ourselves in front and we were very happy with the way we played.”
