Sam Allardyce admits he’s “humbled” by the dedication of Sunderland fans with yet another capacity away end cheering on the Black Cats for the final game of the season at Watford.

The allocation for next month’s trip to Vicarage Road has been sold out, as Sunderland conclude the 2015-16 campaign by trying to ensure they remain in the Premier League.

It is the 17th out of 19 games on the road this season where all away tickets have been sold, with Swansea and Aston Villa the only trips where the full allocation was not taken up.

And with another crowd in excess of 45,000 expected for this weekend’s Stadium of Light clash against Arsenal, boss Allardyce has praised the dedication of Sunderland supporters.

“It’s no secret to anybody that we have some of the finest and most dedicated fans in the country,” said Allardyce.

“I can’t put into words my gratitude for the support that those people have shown us.

“They spend their hard earned money to follow us home and away, and myself and the lads are truly humbled by that.”
